Sister of Prince Alphonse de Berghes, great of Spain in 1720, Madeleine, canoness of Mons, married in 1709 Joseph - Louis d'Albert de Luynes, in spite of the opposition of the latter's family, because of his close links with the elector Max Emmanuel of Bavaria.
