RENAUDOT Eusèbe (1646-1720) abbé, petit-fils de Théophraste Renaudot, orientaliste et historiographe [AF 1688, 38e f].
L.A.S. "Renaudot", May 19 [1689, to Chrétien-François de LAMOIGNON]; 2 pages in-4 (engraved portrait enclosed). About the expedition of James II to Scotland. Learning that he had taken the trouble to send to him, he immediately sends him the copies for himself and M. de Basville. "Even though some have been distributed, we are waiting for the King of England to embark, and I am in charge of this order, for the one who printed it. There will be another one for Scotland, and a kind of Manifesto, but which cannot be given of more than fifteen days " He will not fail to send him all these parts, " after so many obligations that my late father had to your house ". Attached is a P.S., a receipt for an annuity, Paris August 28, 1687; plus a l.a.s. from another Renaudot.
