He found in the marquise de Messimieu and Mlle de Bauffremont "all that can be seen of merit, spirit, honesty, and goodness; [] and I begin to murmur much more than before against my busy life which will probably not allow me to cultivate as much as I would like the honor that I have and that I owe to you Sir to be known by. I have nevertheless offered them all the very humble sciences of which I will be capable.
