The Virgin adoring the sleeping Child. Oil on panel and gold highlights. On the reverse in the upper right corner, MB mark of the panel preparer Melchior de Bout. A number in pen 34. 36,7 x 27,5 cm. On the reverse side five reinforcing cleats. Trace of vertical crack towards the middle. Analogy: Virgin and Sleeping Child, Panel (39 x 29 cm. - Paris. PIASA. June 9, 2013, no. 9), reproduced by Sylvain Kaspern, among the variants of the composition in the Lyon museum, Le Sommeil de l'Enfant Jesus avec trois cherubs (Madone d'Anne d'Autriche).
