Pénitence, words of Abbé Charles GAY: "J'ai péché, mon Seigneur"... [CG 501; Condé p. 756-757] for voice and organ (or piano), in C minor at 3/4 (title and 2 oblong pages in-4). The title indicates that this is No. 1 of a Nouveau Recueil de Cantiques. [Around 1868 ?] Cantique de Ste Thérèse : " Je vis? mais hors de moi ravie ".... [CG 487; Condé p. 750], in two versions: song and organ (title and 3 oblong pages in-4); with string orchestra and organ (title and 7 oblong pages in-fol.), in E major in 4/4 time; unfinished [ca. 1890?] Ave verum, a Sacred Four-Part Song [CG 142; Condé, pp. 776-777], for 4 mixed voices a cappella, in E flat major in 2/2, Andante , dedicated to Henry Leslie, London February 26, 1871 (title and 5 oblong pages in-4) Offertorium for organ [CG 544a; Condé p. 942], in A major in 4/4, Andantino (title and 4 oblong pages in-4), [1874]. Pater noster [CG 146; Condé p. 805-806] for 4 mixed voices and organ, in F major in 4/4 time, Moderato, English words added in pencil: "Our Father"... (9 pages in-4, cut out for engraving and pasted back together), [1871]. Joan of Arc. [CG 29; Condé pp. 494-497] incidental music for Jules Barbier's drama Jeanne d'Arc [1873]; this reduction for two pianos includes numbers 1 Introduction, 2 Entrée des Seigneurs de la Cour, 3 Dieu le veut (4 oblong pages in-fol.). Plus detailed autograph manuscript of the work's plan (1 page and a quarter in-fol.). Attached are 7 autograph notes: lists of religious pieces (Bach, Palestrina, etc.), concert project, etc.
