A gilt bronze and brass clock, decorated with a fan and a stag lying on a thyrse, underlined by garlands, resting on a rectangular and quadripod base in mahogany veneer, with a dog sitting on a collar, a quiver and crowns on it. The front of the base decorated with a gilt bronze applique motif, consisting of a star with palmettes. Round dial, white enamelled, signed "Coeurd Fils à Paris, rue St honoré, N° 168", with black painted indexes of Roman numerals for the hours, iron track for the minutes. Mechanical movement with key winding. Suspension with key. France, First Empire period, first quarter of the 19th century H. 33 cm - 30 x 17 cm. Modified base, probably originally in marble; some later fixings. Hair, chips and restorations to the dial; wear and some oxidation to the gilding. The clockmaker COEUR Fils is referenced as active in Paris between 1812 and 1817.
