A rosewood veneered cupboard with butterfly wings or chevrons in curved reserves, those of the front with scrolls and crescents in the corners, and with violet wood frames, opening with a top drawer in doucine, a flap in the middle part uncovering four windows and six small drawers, and two leaves in the lower part opening on three oak windows. Gilt bronze rocaille ornaments, such as key entries, bases, sabots, some possibly later. Stamped with P. ROUSSEL and the mark of the Jurande des Menuisiers Ébénistes de Paris (JME) on the left rear jamb. Louis XV period, second half of the XVIIIth century. Leather of the flap, gilded with irons, later. Antique grey and white veined brown marble top, scalloped and moulded, added, not in the form. Secretary : H. : 138 cm - W. : 81 cm - D. : 36 cm. 36 cm. Marble top : Thickness : 2,5 cm - Width : 79 cm - Depth : 34 cm. Wear, lifting, some missing veneer, cracks on the right side ; some restorations in the backs ; marble broken and restored, with some chips. Pierre ROUSSEL received Master in Paris in 1745.
