Small chest of drawers opening with two drawers without crosspiece, made of rosewood veneer with butterfly wings or herringbone pattern in violet or rosewood frames, resting on four curved feet. Gilt bronze rocaille ornaments, such as handles, keyways, bases, falls and sabots. Moulded grey and white veined brown marble top. Stamped three times with A. FLEURY. Louis XV period, 18th century. H. : 87,5 cm - L. : 115 cm - D. : 53 cm. Some lifting, small chips and restorations to the veneer ; cracks and tears to the bronze ornaments, wear to the gilding ; accidents and restorations to the front of the marble, a few chips. Adrien FLEURY (1721-1774), a cabinetmaker active in Paris in the 18th century.
