Barthélémy BOURLIER Pair of cavalry or marine flintlock pistols. Signed and engraved plates with rocaille cartouches and horns of plenty, and swan-necked hammers with flat bodies. Barrels round, and with five sides towards the thunder, the higher one presenting remainders of gilded flowers. Smooth. Caliber 13 mm. Selected walnut shafts carved with a rocaille cartouche to the thunder and a leaf under the barrel. Carved brass fittings decorated with fillets, rocaille cartouches, and a frieze of turning leaves on the pommel with splints. With decorative wooden rods, reported. Barrel length: 15.9 and 16 cm - Total length: 28.6 cm. Scratches, shocks and chips to the barrel, accident to a nose, the other reentered, restorations to the paste near the pommels; wear and shocks to the fittings, bridges possibly reported or modified; old oxidation to the barrels; a spring holding badly the armament of the hammer.
