A lady's sloping desk in burr walnut veneer in rosewood frames, opening with a drawer in the waist and a flap revealing a long window, three drawers and a mail cellar, in rosewood, rosewood and blackened wood veneer, and resting on four arched legs. Low curved crosspiece. Back in plain veneer. Ornaments in gilt bronze, such as moulding with a frieze of water leaves, a gallery of flowers, gadrooned fillets, children's falls, and keyways with branches. Blue gilt leather with small irons, later. H. 93.5 cm - Width : 80 cm - Depth : 50.5 cm. A few lifts, chips, worm holes on the back, small missing parts and some restorations to the veneer.
