Romae ad viam Flaminiam erecta, Ac utriusque belli imaginibus anaglyphice insculpta, Brevibus notis io Petri Bellorii illustrata et a Petro sancte Bartolo. Rome, De Rossi, 1704. Second edition [the first having appeared without date, around 1672]. Engraved title, dedication to Pope Clement VII, and 77 beautiful plates by Bartoli depicting the Antonine Column in Rome: at the head, a general view running over two plates, folding, followed by details of the bas-reliefs decorating the Column of Marcus Aurelius. - Stylobates columnae antoninae nuper e ruderibus campi martii. 1708; title followed by 3 plates. One vol. in-fol. in Italian style, post-bound blue-grey cloth boards, spine marbled, titled and decorated with irons. Wax stamp glued on the title page. Freckles, wormholes, tear, hole. Spine broken, wear, cap and corners damaged. Pietro Santi Bartoli was a painter and etcher. He engraved a great number of ancient monuments from his drawings, generally of great accuracy.
