Flintlock pommel gun. Signed lock and iron gooseneck hammer with round bodies, chased with scrolls. Cover with mask of theatre and head of chimera. Smooth barrel, with sides, the higher rounded, then round with beading with the mouth, patinated gray. Calibre 15 mm. Barrel in walnut, pommel in iron chiselled of flowery scrolls and heads of chimeras. Trimmings in plain brass, with hook of belt, probably brought back. With a rod in dewlap (eatings). Late 17th or early 18th century. Barrel length : 26 cm - Total length : 43,3 cm. Scratches and small shocks from use, notably on the barrel ; some oxidation ; spring hard to cock.
