Gilded bronze and brass clock. Round dial surmounted by flowering branches and a Medici vase decorated with flowers resting on clouds on which two putti holding a nest or a bird flying away are leaning. Underneath, two openwork cartouches with foliage scrolls and acanthus leaf attachments. Dial with white enamel background, blue painted indexes, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals and railway for the minutes, signed "Legrand Sté de Mr Allier à Paris". The oval base in white marble surmounted by a laurel frieze and flowery cartouche and rests on four toupie feet. Mechanical movement with key winding, wire suspension. Louis XVI style, late 19th century. H. 39 cm. - L. : 37 cm. - Depth : 9 cm. Chips and restorations to the enamel of the dial, chips to the marble, wear to the patina.
