Cartel and its base decorated with espagnolette falls, in blackened wood and brass marquetry, topped by a Victory blowing a horn. Ornamentation of gilt bronze such as staples, acanthus leaves. Carved gilt bronze dial with twelve white enamelled cartouches, blue Roman numeral indexes for the hours, Arabic and railway for the minutes. Signed "Thuret Paris" in a cartouche. Brocaded suspension, sundial. Regency style. 133 x 41 x 17 cm. Numerous breaks and missing parts in the marquetry, oxidation and wear to the gilding, bronze ornament of the base to be reattached.
