CHEF LALAINA A Masterclass workshop with Chef Lalaina in his restaurant LE MARAIS in Madagascar for 2 people: Herilalaina Ravelomanana, better known as "Chef Lalaina", welcomes you in his gourmet restaurant in Antananarivo to give you a high-flying culinary experience. This goldsmith of taste who travels around his country to unearth the noble pearls of the Malagasy terroirs, invites you to 2 hours of creative preparation and 1 hour of tasting. He will reveal to you "all the work behind a dish" and the military rigour that has enabled him to reach a level of excellence. For the most renowned Chef of Madagascar has a real international record of achievement; First African inducted into the prestigious French Culinary Academy in 2010, he won the Prize for the Most Beautiful Buffet at the ICC 2015 World Cup of Caterers during the SIRHA show in Lyon. Currently, he has 9 International Trophies. He has been asked several times to coach teams from different countries in high level competitions. It is alongside his mentor, Philippe Gourio, that he learns everything, from French technique to the choice of products. Today, he is an influential player in the emergence of Luxury Gastronomy on the Big Island of which he is the best ambassador. In his restaurant MARAIS, created in 2019 with his 3 partners (Delphyne and Christophe Dabezies, Alexandre Guerrier), in Antananarivo, he shares his passion with his clientele through a bay window that separates the kitchens from the dining room and that invites to a beautiful communion around exceptional dishes. He is also an ambassador for the Rova Caviar Madagascar brand, the first African Caviar. Chef Lalaina is a disciple of Auguste Escoffier, member of the French Culinary Academy and member of the Toques Françaises.
