ROUAULT Georges (1871-1958)
Thirty-six signed letters, with 4 autograph letters and 2 signed letters, addressed to Abbé Maurice MOREL. 185 pages of various formats (most of them in-4). Numerous envelopes and addresses. Important correspondence on his art and writings, sometimes enriched with poems or prose texts. Father Morel took on the task of collecting Rouault's writings and poems, and prepared the edition of Stella Vespertina in 1947 by René Drouin; he also made a film on the Miserere. Some of the letters are very long, sometimes very corrected. They are accompanied by many minutes of Abbé Morel's letters addressed to Rouault. Maurice Morel, known as Abbé Morel, was a priest and artist of non-figurative art.
