Chronique des temps héroïques 4 original signed press proof copies [Paris], Louis Broder, 1956. 4 original signed press proof copies; the lithographic portrait in frontispiece and the 3 drypoints illustrating the work. The whole inserted in a copy of the cover filled with Vergé de Montval paper, illustrated with an original lithograph by Picasso in red and black on the plates and spine. The set is protected by a folder titled in red half-maroquin with stripes; names of the author, illustrator, title and spine proofs in gold letters. Edged case (Semet & Plumelle). - Portrait of Max Jacob in lithograph on transfer paper, serving as frontispiece to the work (180 x 242 mm), on double sheet (the second sheet is blank), bearing the autograph mention of the painter in pencil: "Bon à tirer / Picasso / Cannes le 10.9.56"; - 3 original drypoints on Montval laid paper, each bearing the autograph mention in ballpoint pen: "Bon à tirer: Picasso". Exceptional document. It is attached on a sheet of wrapping paper this note autographed in red and blue pencil by Picasso: "Epreuves Broder Max et Paul". ».
