Chirico Modern illustrated book with numerous illustrations by Giorgio de CHIRICO Paris, Edition of the Chronicles of the Day, "Les Maîtres nouveaux" collection, 1928. In-4. Dark purple box, first plate decorated with a broad chiric-inspired decoration representing three heads composed of inlaid Plexiglas half-eggs enhanced with blue acrylic, from which radiate strips of photographic paper varnished in ochre yellow tones, whose rays extend over the spine and part of the second plate, cover and spine preserved. Ochre canvas box case (Henri Mercher, 1973). Original edition of the text by George Waldemar Chirico and the Southern Appeals and of the two texts by Chirico, The Engineer's Son and The Survivor by Navarin, illustrated with 30 plates of reproductions of black and white paintings and 5 reproductions of Chirico's full-page drawings, all full-page. Copy no. 46, one of the 60 heads on Arches, the only ones containing the original etching signed by Chirico. Amazing binding by Henri Mercher. Attached is the catalogue of the Chirico exhibition, Galerie Jeanne Bucher, May 16 to June 4, 1927 (in-16 of 4 pages, text by George Waldemar).
