JACOB Max (1876-1944) 6 ENVELOPPES with autograph inscriptions, 1926- 1927, addressed to Jean COCTEAU in Paris and Villefranchesur- mer; 5 stamped envelopes sent from Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire, a letterheaded envelope from the Café- Restaurant de la Rotonde d'Orléans posted at the Gare d'Orléans. The envelopes are addressed to Jean Cocteau; on the back, Max Jacob wrote anecdotes and news. 8.VIII.1926. "A small low car with 3 seats is a lot of people doomed to have only one child." 30.XII.1926. "I didn't send you Alfred or Grenier." 2.III.1927. "Frankel has a small three-seater car: you, him and his wife! To St. Benoit." 5.III.1927. "Did I tell you that the angel Jean DUBUFFET is married out of love and richly". 7.IV.1927.
