"My dear Germaine You know that I love you very much, but alas after the last scumbag I just received from Saint Raphael it is impossible for me to see you again. I would be very sad because I believed in Francis' friendship[PICABIA]. He can answer that he is using the same with everyone, which is incorrect. He's a wonderful sparing man. Excuse me if I dictate this letter, but I have been in bed for sixteen days with the flu and jaundice, still too weak to write myself.
Believe in my affectionate regrets and gratitude for your attitude, which has always been perfect"...
