A gilded bronze box-shaped clock with a fluted decoration, framed by two foliage scrolls, and topped by a Cupid seated on clouds, with his arms behind him. White marble base with a central raised section, adorned with pearl necklaces and four gilded bronze disc-shaped feet. White enameled dial, signed “FALLAIZE Fils à Paris,” with black Roman numerals for the hours and a line of dots and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Movement stamped VINCENT & Cie, 1855 Silver Medal. Louis XVI style, second half of the 19th century. H. 34.3 cm. Comes with a key. Some casting imperfections, wear and scratches, a few chips and cracks, particularly at the keyhole and on the back.
