NETHERLANDS Silver tea service set (934 / min. 800); the rim is decorated with broad gadroons, the rim band features an ouroboros with a chimera’s head, and the interior is hammered; the set includes: - A teapot with a blackened wooden handle, - A sugar bowl, - A cream pitcher, - A covered pot (lid with a locking mechanism) Silversmith’s hallmark: B&Z. Heraldic lion hallmark (1st class) used between 1814 and 1953 and engraved date letters [Y–Z] for 1833 and 1834. = Exempt from hallmarking as these pieces were made prior to 1838 (Art. 524bis of the CGI, paragraph a). Gross weight (teapot): 554 g. - Total net weight: 1,129 g. A few scratches and dents; deformation on the sugar bowl lid.
