EUROPE, 18th–19th centuries Three snuff boxes made of gilded metal or “pomponne,” with hinged lids and decorative hallmarks: - an oval one with a wavy pattern on all sides. 36 x 86.5 mm. - a rectangular one with beveled sides featuring half-rhombuses within panels bordered by friezes of leaves or interlacing patterns. The beveled sides are decorated with musical trophies. 28.5 x 83 mm. - a rectangular one with beveled sides and a wavy-patterned background. 23.5 x 87 mm. = signs of wear, scratches, and a few chips; some oxidation.
