Fairground carousel horse, rearing and neighing. Made of painted wood and metal; tail made of natural horsehair. H.: 147 cm. L.: 135 cm (excluding the tail). Probably French in origin, late 19th or early 20th century. Damage, cracks, a few missing pieces, restorations, and metal reinforcements; the rein strap has been replaced. Black patinated metal display stand (at the rear).
