FRANCE, late Regency period Small chest of drawers made of brown wood veneer with black curly grain, featuring four drawers in three rows, resting on four curved legs. The rounded front posts and dark crossbars feature brass fluting. Rests on four small corner feet. Molded brown marble top with white veining, shaped to fit. Bronze hardware and rear locks. 82 x 94 x 57 cm. Chips, damage, and missing pieces; four legs restored with reinforcements, one of which is weakened and requires restoration; surface cracks and chips in the marble, notably a large missing section at the back.
