Engraved with two inscriptions: "T Weilvaren" and "Van de Negoothie". Unsigned. H. 23.5 cm - Diam. 11 cm. Gallé's subject is Mercury and Neptune watching over the fortunes of a wealthy ship, and the inscriptions can be translated as "twelve years of trading". A similar model is currently in the collections of the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris (n°inv. OAO 999).
