SPAIN or FLANDERS, partly 17th century Small rectangular free-standing cabinet, decorated with geometrical inlaid caissons in wood veneer and bone fillets, opening with seven drawers, the lower right one simulating two, and the central one simulating a door, with fronts veneered with sea turtle shell, on a yellow background, in engraved bone frames with foliage or flowers, and wavy moldings in blackened wood. Four small turned and blackened wood legs. 41.6 x 68.5 x 26.5 cm. Wear, stains, accidents, missing parts, notably the brass keyways (4 to be refastened) and old restorations.
