EUROPE, first third of the 19th century Flintlock infantry rifle. Round-bodied flintlock lock, marked "LV" under crown and heart hammer. Round barrel, then with thunderbolt sides, reused (?) marked "1837" on the breech and "R 59" on one side. Walnut barrel, cheek stock. Iron fittings, some screw heads numbered. Iron ramrod with nail head, stamped and marked "604". Barrel length: 103 cm - Overall length: 142 cm. Gun cleaned. In mint condition; a few knocks, cracks and small holes, including wormholes, formerly plugged; rust spots, notably on the buttplate.
