One-piece cast brass hilt with 28 gadroons and stock quillon. Stamped and marked "Versailles". Flat, slightly curved, single-edged blade with flat back, marked "Mfture Imple du Klingenthal mai 1813", and hallmarked [B laurel wreath for ALPY, controller in 1812] on the heel. Repolished. Stitched blackened leather scabbard with two brass fittings, hallmarked bolt and white buffalo band. Guard and bolt stamped "LF". Modern green lanyard with red and green pompom. Blade length: 59.6 cm - Scabbard length: 61.8/62.5 cm - Overall length: 76.5 cm. As is; scratches and bumps; cracked and stained strap; cracked scabbard.
