Album in two parts: - of Napoleon I's Imperial Guard, 1793-1815 (1 to 47) - of the French Army, 1800-1815. (48 to 68 - 65 double -69 unfinished pencil) Contains numerous watercolors, on pencil lines, depicting Napoleon, some of his generals and marshals, and various corps (cavalry, infantry, artillery...). Bound in marbled paper, cloth spine (hinges partially cut, fair condition). Size of watercolors: 24.5 x 16.5 cm. Freckles, stains, wetness, paper curled; a few leaves partially detached. The watercolors are rather naive. The soldiers' postures are often the same, with only their uniforms changing from page to page.
