Minerve and goldsmith's hallmarks: R.M. [axe]. Net weight: 180 g. - 10 x 126 x 85 mm. Wear, scratches, a few minor knocks, slightly warped lid, right inner corner to be re-soldered. Also included: - ENGLAND Rectangular cigarette box in plain silver plate (925), with domed lid, figured "J.V". in the left corner. Wood-lined interior. And bottom lined with green grained leather. Lion passant, LONDON, letter-date [u] for 1915 and goldsmith's marks: Chas. & Richard COMYNS, a family-run workshop active in London since the mid-19th century. Repunched with Charançon.
