Polychrome ceramic desk inkwell with ormolu rocaille mounting. Consisting of a seated Chinese sage split in two, the head and bust forming the cover. H. 10 cm - L.: 11.5 cm. 18th century, Louis XV period. The lid is badly joined as it has probably been shortened.
