Gilded molded wood frame with stucco fleur-de-lys (wear, chips and missing parts). On the reverse of the frame, a label: Jacquemart- André () Rome. 81 / () février. On the reverse, an old handwritten label, probably in the hand of Eudoxe Marcille, traces the provenance of the work, and gives the following indication: In 1820, the fleur-de-lys were substituted for the Imperial Crown.
