Hervé VAN DER STRAETEN (1965) Large mirror model Expansion n°349, 2008. Free-form gilt bronze frame with patina. Monogrammed "HV" and numbered on reverse. H. 115 cm; W. 127 cm; D. 25 cm. Edition of twenty. "Here, materials become one, as the witch mirror is molded directly into its bronze frame and, under the effect of heat, follows its lines. Deformed at will, the object evokes molten matter." We would like to thank Galerie Van Der Straeten for the information provided.
