FRANCE, Single-sided, flat (composite) desk in stained natural wood, opening with three drawers in the waistband and resting on four curved legs. Molded wood top (later), dark tan leather with gilded decoration. Varnished bronze trim, such as mobile handles, keyways, falls with moustachioed men's heads, side saddles and side sabots. Partly 18th century. 78 x 74 x 130 cm. Wear, scratches, bumps, a few chips, some bronzes missing, notably a handle; accidents and old restorations with glue.
