The decanter features a quadripod pedestal decorated with branches, a scroll handle with foliage, and a neck decorated with a frieze of foliage, foliage and a cartouche representing a lion. The spout is surmounted by a rampant chimera holding a medallion engraved J.G. Minerve hallmark and goldsmith's mark: probably Émile SANNER.
