The profile of the display case is painted antique green. Opening top, darkened with beveled glass, hinged. Rich ormolu ornamentation, such as: gadrooned moulding, pearl necklace and ribbed pirouettes, foliage capitals, quatrefoils, frieze of posts punctuated with palmettes, sabots with foliage scrolls, laurel branches, stars, openwork winged lightning bolts, and brace ornament composed of a full antique vase flanked by two leaning chimeras. Eagle-shaped key. 82.5 x 91.5 x 56.5 cm. Wear to the gilding; a few knocks, large chips and chips to the veneer and wood; a few cracks and accidents, notably on the short sides and on the spacer; a few bronze ornaments missing, especially on the spacer; two hinge screws missing and eight replaced.
