Henry DASSON (1825-1896) Charming little six-drawer tiered desk, curved, in brown wood veneer veined in friezes in frames, all sides, with a pull-out top and a drawer in the waist, resting on four cambered legs. Partly rocaille ormolu trim, such as lingotière, chamfered ribbons, falls, sabots and fine openwork keyways with trellises and flowers. Moulded grey breche marble top. Signed and dated 1881 on the right-hand moulding. Louis XV style, late 19th century. 105 x 53 x 32 cm. A few scratches; missing veneer, especially on the chamfers of the legs; right side and top insolated; a few chips to the marble.
