GREECE, Attic workshop, late 5th century B.C. Black-glazed lekythos with white background, featuring a mermaid with outstretched wings and head turned backwards. The shoulder features a double tongue frieze and a meandering band. Orange terracotta with black glaze. H. 16.2 cm. Minor damage to the varnish.
