Silver-plated brass hilt, with one branch decorated with foliage and a curved cornucopia quillon, pommel with medallions and pearls, openwork and poly-lobed keyboard decorated with a laurel wreath on a foliate background. Spindle made of grooved white mother-of-pearl plates. Triangular blade engraved with acid-etched foliage in the first third, signed on the heel "COULAUX & Cie, Klingenthal". Stitched black leather scabbard, with two cut and silvered brass fittings, engraved on one side. Blade length: 77.3 cm - Total length: 93.5 cm. Defects to the mother-of-pearl of one plate. Worn silvering and oxidation; scabbard leather is tired, ragged and brittle near the bolt.
