JAPAN, early 20th century Two katana. Handles, tsubas and scabbards in engraved bone, carved in bas-relief with figures. Single-edged blades. Blade length: 38 or 38.5 cm - Total length: 66.5 or 69 cm. A few stains and cracks, accidents and missing parts, notably at the ends, rings and pivots, parts to be reattached; one scabbard has a rolled resin leaf at the end, partially engraved.
