FRANCE, 19th century Boarding axe. Head with iron, stamped with an anchor on an M, and slightly curved four-sided pick, held by two splints. Black-painted wooden handle, stronger and rounder at the end, engraved "42", with belt hook. H. 42 cm - Head width 25 cm. Some oxidation; knocks and color wear to the handle.
