Jean SOLÉ (1948) Pop & rock & colegram, title page. Sheet on page 3 for the album published in 1978 (Audie / Les albums Fluide Glacial) which, based on a scenario by Alain Dister, features French translations of major songs by American and English bands. The illustration features the three authors, in the form of the famous dog Nipper, the famous mascot of the Gramophone Company and the EMI group, who can be seen on many records. While the majority of the drawings are by Solé, who is at the top of his game on this album, Gotlib also draws a character in the lower section. This principle of small ancillary drawings to "fill in the gaps" in Solé's abundant compositions is to be found throughout the work. India ink and wash on paper, small traces of glue. Signed "Solé" in pencil. 40.2 x 30 cm.
