Sighting device. Cal. .58 or 15 mm. Brown varnished walnut barrel and stock; stock with brass "171 S.A." serial number 40 and serial number plate. Iron trim, buttplate marked U.S. Iron ramrod. Barrel length: 101.7 cm - Overall length: 142 cm. Without bayonet. Soft spring; wear and tear, a few chips, notably on the stock, wood torn off in front of the first retaining ring; some oxidation and corrosion.
