Fluted, then round barrel. Traces of inscriptions. Adjustable rear sight. Cal. 15 mm. Oak barrel. Iron fittings. With iron ramrod with hollow tip. With an iron bayonet with socket numbered "2934" and marked U.S. Barrel length: 101.6 cm - Overall length: 142 cm - Rod length: 100.6 cm - Bayonet length: 53 cm. Scratches, some deep, and knocks from use; a few chips to the wood, long crack above the lock plate; bayonet slightly blunted; oxidation and corrosion, notably to the lock plate, parts of the barrel and butt plate and to the bayonet. This type of weapon was supplied to France for National Defense in 1871.
