FRANCE, fin de la première moitié du XIXème siècle Manufacture Royale de Klingenthal Line cavalry saber, model 1822 (?). Brass four-point guard with short cap. Fusée lined with brown basane and braided brass filigree. Straight blade with two hollow sides, a cutting edge and a flat back, signed and dated "Fev. 1845", and counter-edge. With iron scabbard, with one strap (too long). Blade length: 91 cm - Total length: 113.3 cm. Shocks, notably to the hilt and scabbard; fuse leather reverse to be revised; incipient tear and small misses on the low profile of the scabbard; oxidation; corroded sting.
