Diam. box: 8 cm - Diam. miniature: 6.5 cm (at sight). Some scratches and chips to the shell; some wear, scratches and small chips to the miniature. GUERCHIN's original work, "La Sybille Samienne", oil on canvas (114 x 95 cm), dated 1644, is in the Uffizi Gallery, Corridoio Vasariano [Inv. n° 1430], Florence. Pre-Convention specimens in tortoiseshell of Chelonioidea spp (I/A), prior to June 1, 1947 and therefore in compliance with EC regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc. In the case of export, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to check with the customs authorities of the country concerned, particularly the United States, prior to any purchase. If the animal is to be exported from the European Union, a CITES re-export permit will be required, at the expense of the future buyer.
