Hippopotamus amphibius (II/B) The object presented, entirely or partly in worked hippopotamus tusk (II/B), is pre-Convention and predates March 3, 1947. It therefore complies with Article 32-c of Regulation (EC) No. 1808/2001, which reproduces Article 2, point w of Regulation (EC) No. 338/97. It can therefore be marketed with the certificate of an expert in zoological collections for the identification of the species. The statement of sale includes the expert's prior assessment of the object's dating and manufacture. In the event of export, it is the purchaser's responsibility to check with the customs authorities of the country concerned, particularly the United States, prior to any purchase of this lot.
