A pair of large tapered vases on circular pedestals and covered, in sea-green marble with gilded bronze mounts, such as faun masks, rings, foliate bases, molded neck bands and lids with fluted friezes and acanthus leaves and pine-cone fretels. Pedestals and square bases with pearl necklaces. Recessed interiors. Possibly reassembled from earlier vases. Louis XIV style, second half of the 19th century H. 68 cm. - Base: 24 x 24 cm. Previously damaged and restored skins, with some old fillings; scratches and chips, notably on the inside under the mounts, long chip on one base.
