Originally a hunting lodge built in 1930, then a sleepy hotel-restaurant, Louis Gaume's neo-Basque building was completely renovated in 2010. The new owners, Sophie and William Téchoueyres (a former rugby player), have reinvented the place, blending originality with preserved authenticity. The hotel was entirely designed by Philippe Starck (who considers it one of the most beautiful in the world), with a resolutely contemporary, trendy, uncluttered and luminous style, where white is the predominant color.
